The delegation of the German bank KFW IPEX-Bank visited NMMC

On February 16-17, the delegation of the German bank KFW IPEX-Bank visited Joint Stock Company Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company to get acquainted with the transformation processes and production activities of the enterprise.

Bilateral negotiations between the company’s management and representatives of the bank took place at the NMMC’s Office. The achievements and ambitious plans of the company in the context of the ongoing transformation, as well as the expansion of bilateral cooperation and the practical implementation of previously reached agreements were discussed during negotiations.

It is worth noting that the first steps of cooperation between the parties were laid within the framework of the II Economic Forum of Uzbekistan, held on November 3-4, 2022, in Samarkand city. As a result of this forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between JSC NMMC and KFW IPEX-Bank, which provides for the organization by a foreign bank of financing of investment projects of the company in the areas of expanding and modernizing production capacities, technical re-equipment, introducing innovations, and improving energy efficiency in the amount of up to 100 million euro.

Also, in order to get acquainted with the production processes of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, the delegation of the German bank visited the Muruntau mine, one of the world's largest gold mines.

As a result of the visit, the parties agreed on further elaboration of the loan agreement.
