Press conference for representatives of the media and journalists on the results for first half of 2022

On July 26, 2022, there was held a press conference for representatives of the media and journalists on the results of the activities of “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company for first half of 2022 at the museum “NMMC history” in Navoi city.   

Head of budgeting and controlling department of “NMMC” JSC Umidjon Kostaev, director for public relations of “NMMC” JSC Kholmamat Raupov, representatives of the media and journalists participated in the press conference.

“Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company is the largest industrial enterprise in Uzbekistan. The multi-thousand staff of the enterprise has achieved the fulfillment of the tasks set and the outlined plans in the first half of this year. In particular, in the first half of the year, the company produced industrial products worth 28.9 trillion soums.

For the reporting period, the forecast indicator of gold production was fully fulfilled and amounted to 107.4% compared to the same period last year.

Today, the company is the largest taxpayer in Uzbekistan. In January-June of this year, payments were made to the budget for 15 trillion soums, the forecast indicator was fulfilled by 102.5%.

The Investment program has a special place in the work of the company, thanks to which many new projects are being implemented. Over the past six months, about $252 million has been spent on projects included in this program, and 1 510 new work places were created.

Also, the company’s Localization program is being developed year by year. In particular, within the framework of 140 projects of this program, products worth 282.6 billion soums were produced, products worth about 2.3 trillion soums were purchased through intersectoral industrial cooperation.

The implementation of a set of measures to reduce the cost of production made it possible to reduce the cost of production by 492,4 billion soums or 5.8%.
