A handball hall was opened in Navoi city

On May 7, there was opened a modern sports facility - a handball hall in Navoi city.

At the event, it was noted that in recent years a lot of work has been done in our country to develop sports, select and educate talented athletes, and give them worthy encouragement. "NMMC" JSC pays special attention on an ongoing basis to the development of sports, support for the realization of the aspirations of young people.

Construction work, financed by the company and the Council of the Trade union, began in June last year. The construction of the handball hall was carried out by representatives of Zarafshan construction department, Navoi machine-building plant, Takhiatash metalwork plant and the Department of social facilities of "NMMC Fund" SO.

It should be noted that our handball players achieve great success in the national, international and world arenas. In particular, the national team of Uzbekistan climbed the podium at the recent Asian Handball Championship among girls under 18 in Almaty. According to the final results, our team won a ticket to the World Championship in Skopje, Macedonia. Among them there are pupils of the physical culture and sports club "Sogdiana" in Navoi city Rukhshona Ruzieva and Nasiba Tukhtaeva.

At the same time, since 2016, 11 young handball players have been awarded preferential admission to higher educational institutions for their achievements.
