Employment of the population of a remote area is provided

One of the urgent tasks in Uzbekistan is to ensure employment of the population living in remote desert areas, in particular, to eliminate the problems of the unemployed living in Tamdy district, to create favorable conditions for their well-being, and to provide them with comprehensive support.

“Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company implements major investment projects in Tamdy district. The creation of new work places within the framework of investment projects is a great importance. As a result of the implementation of one of these projects, the Balpantau and Tamdybulak deposits were recently opened, where mining operations have begun.

On April 13, 2022, Central mining administration of “NMMC” JSC together with the Center for promotion of employment of Tamdy district organized a labor fair. The unemployed who need social protection participated in the fair. Among them are citizens registered in the “Iron notebook”, “Youth notebook”, “Women’s notebook”. 50 unemployed citizens were given permits for employment in professions and specialties suitable for the mining and metallurgical industry.

Interviews with citizens were held in an open manner with the participation of leading specialists of Central mining administration and qualified employees with many years of experience. Now they will undergo retraining at the training center of mining administration, and most of these citizens will be employed at the Balpantau and Tamdybulak deposits.
