A meeting was held with the secretary general of the Asian swimming federation

On April 12, there was held a meeting between chairman of the Management Board – director general of “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company, chairman of the Swimming federation of Uzbekistan Kuvandik Sanakulov and the secretary general of the Asian swimming federation Taha Sulaimon al-Kishri at the Office of “NMMC” JSC.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing work in Uzbekistan to promote water sports, including the construction of water sports facilities for the IV Asian Youth Games, which will be held in Tashkent city in 2025, in accordance with international standards.

It was also noted at the meeting that in June-July of this year, Asian Open Water will be held in Samarkand city, and preparations have already begun for organizing this competition at a high level.

For information, the Asian swimming federation currently has 45 member countries of the continent.
