Experts from Chile visited “NMMC” JSC

As part of the implementation of the draft Concept for the development of a cluster of the country’s mining and copper industry until 2030 with the participation of chilean experts on January 12, a group of experts from Chile visited “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company.

Chemical engineer, PhD in materials science from the University of Chile, Juan Carlos Salas and international relations development policy specialist Melvin Romero San Martin visited the Muruntau mine, where they got acquainted with the ore mining process.  

Also in Navoi city, in Head Office of “NMMC” JSC foreign experts met with the Chairman of the Management Board – Director General of “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company K. Sanakulov. Perspective plans for the cluster of the mining and copper industry were discussed at the meeting. In addition, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of promising projects and models for creating a chain of products based on copper raw materials.

It is worth noting that Chile is the world’s leading copper producer.
