Employment provided for 50 women in Tuprakkala district

On January 7 of this year, a unit for the production of turkmen carpets “Sarimoy”, organized by the initiative of “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company” Joint-Stock Company, was commissioned in “Sarimoy” makhalla in Tuprakkala district of Khorezm region in order to ensure the employment of women.

The event dedicated to the opening of this unit was attended by Chairman of the Management Board – Director General of “NMMC” JSC K. Sanakulov, representatives of khokimiyats of Khorezm region and Tuprakkala district, specialists of the company, makhalla’s aksakals and activists and local residents.

As it was noted at the event, in April last year, Director General of the company K. Sanakulov met with the residents of “Sarimoy” makhalla, where they asked for practical help in solving existing problems. In order to ensure the employment of the local population, especially women, the administration of the company took measures to create a unit for the production of carpets here. As a result, 50 women are employed in this unit. In the future, the number of work places in the unit will be increased to 150.

The unit will produce famous and popular high-quality turkmen carpets.
