Interesting facts from the history of NMMC

Prominent statesman and public figure Sharof Rashidov made a great contribution to the formation of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company and the organization of work on the development of the Muruntau deposit. In 1969, Sh. Rashidov personally participated in the launch of the Hydrometallurgical Plant №2 for gold processing in Zarafshan and the receipt of the first gold bar. There were built towns and townships such as Navoi, Zarafshan, Uchkuduk and Zafarabad in the Kyzylkum desert.
