Production capacity is expanding at the Navoi machine-building plant

Today the Program for the development of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company in 2017-2026 is being implemented in stages. In order to meet the needs of NMMC’s divisions in spare parts for technological and mining equipment, there is carrying out practical work to further increase the production of localized products at the Navoi machine-building plant.

There is implementing the project “Technical and technological re-equipment of the Mechanical assembly department” with a total cost of more than $ 22 million at the plant. Under this project, the construction of a new building of department is being completed, as well as the installation of modern, highly efficient machine tools.

At the same time, in order to increase the volume of products manufactured in the Foundry department for ball mills and mining equipment of the NMMC’s divisions, this year the volume of production in the Foundry department is planned to be increased to 31 thousand tons, and by 2026 this figure will reach 40 thousand tons. Currently, the construction and reconstruction of the Foundry department is underway at a rapid pace. In particular, a 25-ton furnace for smelting metal, modern pneumatic conveyors, molding machines, and about 25 units of non-standard equipment manufactured at the plant are being installed.

It is planned to open a section for the repair of MAN and ISUZU trucks used in NMMC’s divisions in the Auto repair department of the plant. Also, there was launched a section for the production of rollers for new conveyors in this department. This section produces over 36 thousand rollers per year.

In 2022-2024, within the framework of the Investment program of NMMC it is planned to purchase an additional 28 modern high-precision machine tools for the development of machine tool building at the Navoi machine-building plant. In the future, within the framework of cooperation in cooperation with foreign companies, it is planned to produce modern machine tools with digital program control and create 200 new work places.
