Hydrometallurgical plant-7 - a new production enterprise of NMMC

On August 23, 2021, before the 30th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan there was held the opening ceremony of Hydrometallurgical plant-7 at the Central mining administration of Navoi mining and metallurgical combinat.

As it was noted at the solemn event, during the years of independence, especially over the past five years, large-scale reforms and positive changes in all areas have taken place in Uzbekistan. Today, results of reforms carried out in New Uzbekistan can be seen on the example of Navoi mining and metallurgical combinat. In recent years, due to the construction of new enterprises, increasing production capacities, equipping them with modern equipment NMMC has become one of the world leaders in the volume and quality of precious metals production.

Within the framework of the program for development of NMMC until 2026, approved by the head of our state, large-scale work is being carried out at the enterprise. One of the major investment projects under this program is Hydrometallurgical plant-7, which will process 15 million tons of technogenic waste per year.

At HMP-7, on the basis of modern technologies, products are obtained from processed (technogenic) ores. The difference between the plant and other hydrometallurgical plants of NMMC is that, thanks to the technologies used here, it is possible to process and obtain products from processed ore. The production of products from technogenic waste at the enterprise fully complies with all environmental requirements. The most important thing is that only local chemical products are used in the processing process. This leads to an increase in the domestic market, a decrease in production costs.

Since then, NMMC's specialists have succeeded in building this plant, launching four mill blocks for processing ore at the first and second stages of the project, and most importantly, completing the project ahead of schedule. Since 2020, the plant began to produce products. For today more than a thousand new work places have been created, young specialists have been hired, mainly graduates of the Navoi state mining institute.

It is worth noting that the main technological equipment used in the construction of the plant was not purchased abroad, but produced at the Navoi machine-building plant, which saved about $ 56 million.

The celebration was attended by the khokim of the Navoi region K. Tursunov, the general director of Navoi mining and metallurgical combinat K. Sanakulov, the management and specialists of NMMC, representatives of the general public and the media.
