Method of preparation of heap leaching site with electrical action
The invention relates to mining practice and may be used in mineral mining using heap leaching.
The object of invention is to increase leaching efficiency by means of improving the electrical insulating properties of impervious bed (IB).
Technology: IB is formed from puddle on the prepared heap leaching site. The IB is filled with layer composed of paraffinized ceramsite filler granules. This layer is filled with sand and covered with electrodes. When current flows, paraffin melts and forms an electrically insulated coating of IB which impedes electric losses and increases safety of electric works. Know-how is used.
This method is most effective in processing of polymetallic ores such as copper-nickel-cobalt, tungsten-molybdenic, and volcanogenic deposits of precious metals wherein metals constituting such ores are subsequently separated into one heap.
