Ammonium paratungstate decontamination method

The invention relates to the hydrometallurgy of tungsten.

The object of invention is to simplify the process, reduce the reagent consumption, and improve working conditions.

Ammonium paratungstate is diluted in weak acid medium at elevated temperatures with subsequent leaching of the produced solution in ammonia water to pH = 8. Impurities left after solution alkalization are removed by filtration.
