International Credit Ratings Broaden NMMC's access to Capital Markets
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company is implementing measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of utilization and reproduction of its mineral resource base and attracting international investors to enhance mining and processing capacities.
In this context, in February of this year, the Company partnered with international rating agencies Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings.
This month, these rating agencies assigned NMMC credit ratings of "BB-" with a "Stable" outlook, which is in line with the sovereign credit rating of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Simultaneously, S&P Global Ratings assessed the standalone credit profile (SACP) of NMMC at "bb+", a first for companies in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This success was achieved due to the coordinated efforts of NMMC’s management and key specialists in production and service areas, in cooperation with representatives of the rating agencies.
The company is in line with the strategy adopted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to build a strong economy within the framework of state reforms.
The assignment of a credit rating opens new opportunities for NMMC, facilitating the Company's entry into the international capital market and attracting investments on competitive terms.
