NMMC has once again confirmed its adherence to international ISO standards
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company is a modern industrial cluster, equipped with state-of-the-art mining, transport, and technological equipment, as well as advanced hydrometallurgical plants. The company’s adherence to international standards in quality management, occupational health and safety, environmental management, and energy management systems contributes to Navoi’s operational efficiency.
Since 2005, the Central Mining Administration, the company’s largest unit based on production metrics and employing over 21,000 workers, has successfully implemented and operated an integrated management system in accordance with international ISO standards. Every three years, beginning in 2005, an international certification body has assessed the effectiveness of the system and confirmed its compliance with international-level certificates.
This year, the Central Mining Administration of JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company has once again successfully passed its certification, confirming that its activities comply with the following requirements of international standards: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), and ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management System). The Mining Administration ensures high quality in its manufactured products, occupational health and safety, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. The integrated management system facilitates efficiency in the execution of large investment projects, including the construction of new hydrometallurgical plants based on modern technologies.
The presentation of international certificates took place in Tashkent during a business meeting attended by representatives from leading enterprises across various sectors of the economies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, relevant government agencies, institutions, and organizations. The meeting, organized by Bureau Veritas Tashkent, focused on the theme of “Certification according to international ISO standards - a factor in sustainable development and increasing the export of manufactured products.”
The participants of the business meeting noted that today certification according to international ISO standards, along with issues of sustainable development and social responsibility, are at the forefront of the economic interests of not only enterprises and countries but also the global economy as a whole. In the context of increasing globalization and growing demands for product quality, obtaining such certificates has become a significant aspect of successful business operations, serving as a key tool for increasing competitiveness and boosting exports in international markets.
