The destiny of the Aral Sea is the destiny of the future generation
On March 26-30, a group of youth of JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company of 100 people within the framework of the national project “Yashil Makon” and the project “Travel across Uzbekistan” under the motto “The destiny of the Aral Sea is the destiny of the future generation” took an active part in the environmental event to plant saxaul seedlings in the dried-up part of the Aral Sea.
First, the event participants visited the monument to the great commander Jaloliddin Manguberdi in Urgench city of Khorezm region. On March 27, they arrived in Khiva city, where they visited historical sights in the ancient city.
On March 28, the participants of the event, led by the Chairman of the Council of Youth Leaders of NMMC S. Radjabov, under the motto “The destiny of the Aral Sea is the destiny of the future generation” planted 100 thousand saxaul seedlings on the dried-up part of the Aral Sea, 80 kilometers from Muynak city in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
On March 29, the youth of the company visited the cultural center of Muynak district, where they got acquainted with the activities of the museum. They also visited the “ship graveyard” in Muynak and visited the Museum of the History of the Aral Sea. At the same time, the event participants visited several secondary schools in Muynak district, where they talked with pupils. Books were donated from the company to these schools. With the participation of the youth of the company and the erudite youth of Muynak district, the intellectual game “Zakovat” was held, and a volleyball sports competition was held.
On March 30, the participants of the event arrived in Nukus city in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where they visited the State Museum of Art named after I.V. Savitsky. They also visited the State Drama Theater named after Berdak in Nukus and watched a performance based on the work of Chingiz Aitmatov “Jamilya”.
