Operational Efficiency Workshop with Boston Consulting Group
Northern Mining Administration conducted an operational efficiency workshop in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading global consultancy. This workshop is a significant milestone of the ongoing NMMC Transformation Program.
Facilitated by BCG, the workshop provided a venue for a comprehensive discussion involving the management of the company and Northern Mining Administration, managers and technical specialists from the Kokpatas mine, and BCG consultants. The primary objective of the workshop was to review and discuss a series of proposed measures aimed at augmenting ore production while reducing unit costs, followed by the endorsement of next steps to validate the efficacy of the measures.
Participants engaged in discussions spanning three critical areas: drilling and blasting, excavation, and haulage, with initiatives co-developed alongside international experts. Consequently, priority activities for further development and potential quick wins for the years 2023-2024 were identified.
This collaborative endeavor is a crucial element of the ongoing NMMC Transformation Program, signifying a sustained collaboration with global experts to ensure the achievement of overall transformation objectives.
