The need for hot water is provided by solar energy

“Green energy” technologies are of great importance for Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, and in order to increase the efficiency of energy resource use, renewable energy sources are widely used.

To date, work is underway to install solar water heaters in the units of the company to provide hot water to production enterprises. In particular, by the end of 2023 it is planned to install 756 solar water heaters at the production facilities of the Northern Mining Administration and 225 in the residential buildings of the company’s employees.

Also this year, on the territory of the Heat, water, gas supply and sewerage unit of Mining Administration, specialists of NMCM are constructing a large solar water heating station, which will consist of 477 solar water heaters. After this station is launched at full capacity, the need for industrial facilities for hot water in April-October will be 100 percent provided by solar water heaters and it will be possible to save more than 80 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per year.

The large-scale work carried out on the use of renewable energy sources in the activities of NMMC is a confirmation of the importance of improving energy efficiency at the company.
