A specialized boarding school was opened

On September 6th, 2023, there was held a solemn event in Tamdy district of Navoiy region dedicated to the opening of modern specialized boarding school for 504 places, built by JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company.

The khokim of Navoi region N. Tursunov, the Chairman of the board - the General Director of NMMC K. Sanakulov, the director of the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Ubbiyev, representatives of the older generation, the general public and the media participated at the event.

It was especially noted that in the country, on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, large-scale reforms in the field of education are being carried out. Hundreds of modern educational institutions have been built, presidential, creative and specialized schools have been opened in the republic. Much attention is paid to improving the working conditions of teachers and mentors, improving their qualifications and salaries, reforming textbooks in the education system, and introducing modern teaching methods.

Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, being a socially responsible company, actively participates in the development of the infrastructure of the Kyzylkum region. The continuation of such good deeds is reflected in the program of measures of NMMC for the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 in "Year of human care and quality education".

To date, in accordance with this program, the company built a specialized boarding school for 504 places in Tamdy district of Navoiy region. This specialized boarding school consists of seven blocks and three floors, and all conditions are created for learning. The educational institution is equipped with modern classrooms and computer equipment. The school has created special learning conditions for each subject, and the classes are equipped with the most modern technologies.

288 boys and girls with high intellectual potential from Zarafshan city, Tamdy, Uchkuduk districts and Navoi city were admitted to this educational institution from grades 5 to 11, who successfully passed the tests. 30 qualified teachers were hired to work in a new educational institution in a three-stage competition.

It is worth noting this educational institution will ensure that the representatives of the future generation receive a quality education. This indicates the active participation of the company in supporting education in Uzbekistan and the socio-economic development of the regions.
