The largest industrial enterprise for the processing of technogenic waste
During the years of independence of Uzbekistan, most of the hydrometallurgical plants built by Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company are located on the expanses of Kyzylkum. Including Hydrometallurgical Plant №7 built by the specialists of the company - the largest industrial enterprise for the processing of technogenic waste.
The plant, which was put into operation at full capacity in 2021 on the basis of the Gold Heap Leaching Unit mine, processes about 16 million tons of technogenic waste per year. At the enterprise, based on modern technologies, products are obtained from processed (technogenic) ores. In 2020, at the initial stage, more than 3.3 million tons of ore were processed, in 2021 this figure was 12.1 million tons, and in 2022 – about 16 million tons. Over the past seven months of this year, the plant processed 9.3 million tons of technogenic waste.
The difference between the enterprise and other hydrometallurgical plants of NMMC is that, thanks to the technologies used here, it is possible to process and obtain products from processed ore. One of the important aspects of processing technogenic waste is the absence of costs for the extraction and transportation of ore, which significantly reduce the cost of products at Hydrometallurgical Plant №7. The technology of this production allows it to be competitive in the world precious metals market.
Thanks to the innovative approach of the plant’s team, starting from May 2021, water is taken into the technological process from the Recycling Water Supply Unit of Hydrometallurgical Plant №2 and additional products are obtained from this water.
About 850 employees, specialists and managers of the plant are constantly on the lookout and work hard on the timely implementation of the established plans.
