Underground mining

In "Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company" JSC, underground mining works are carried out in mines at Southern mining administration, Mining administration “HMP-1”. 

At Southern mining administration:

Zarmitan mine

LOCATION: Kushrabat district of Samarkand region

YEAR OF LAUNCH: 1978

ANNUAL ORE MINING CAPACITY: 850 thousand tonnes of ore

TYPE OF MINED ORE: quartz sulphide ore

 

Guzhumsay mine

LOCATION: Kushrabat district of Samarkand region

YEAR OF LAUNCH: 2009

ANNUAL ORE MINING CAPACITY: 650 thousand tonnes of ore

TYPE OF MINED ORE: quartz sulphide ore

 

 

At Mining administration “HMP-1”:

Karakutan mine

LOCATION: Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region

YEAR OF LAUNCH: 2012

ANNUAL ORE MINING CAPACITY: 230 thousand tonnes of ore

TYPE OF MINED ORE: sulphide ore
