The press conference on the results of the activities of NMMC in the 1st half of 2023

On July 26th, 2023, there was held a press conference for representatives of the media and journalists on the results of the activities of JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company in the first half of 2023 at the press conference hall of NMMC.

Deputy general director for economics and finance Shukhrat Aminov, head of budgeting and controlling department Umidjon Kostaev, director for public relations Kholmamat Raupov, representatives of the media and journalists participated in the press conference..

JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company is the largest industrial enterprise in Uzbekistan. The multi-thousand staff of the enterprise has achieved the fulfillment of the outlined plans in the first half of this year. In particular, in the first half of the year, the company produced industrial products worth more than 31,5 trillion soums.

For the reporting period, the forecast indicator of gold production was fully fulfilled and amounted to 102.1% compared to the same period last year.

Today, the company is the largest taxpayer in Uzbekistan. In January-June of this year, payments were made to the budget for 14.1 trillion soums, the forecast indicator was fulfilled by 104%.

The Investment program has a special place in the work of the company, thanks to which many new projects are being implemented. Over the past six months, funds for $ 255 million has been spent on projects included in this program, and 868 new jobs were created. 

Also, the company’s Localization program is being implemented from year to year. In particular, within the framework of 154 projects of this program, products worth 324 billion soums were produced, products worth more than 2,5 trillion soums were purchased through intersectoral industrial cooperation.

Implementation of comprehensive measures to optimize costs made it possible to reduce the cost of production by 594,2 billion soums.
