The need for hot water is covered by solar energy

The production of renewable energy sources has been launched at Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company in order to increase the efficiency of using energy resources.

It should be noted that the Production Automation Department has launched the production of solar collectors with a capacity of 2.4 kilowatts to provide hot water to the enterprises of the company. At the same time, the cost of solar devices was reduced by 50% due to the localization of their main parts.

Recently, 220 solar collectors have been installed and put into operation at Hydrometallurgical Plant №5. At present, each solar device produces 6,700 kilocalories of heat per day. Due to this, the saving of natural gas used for these purposes per day is about 600 cubic meters.

By the end of this year, the number of solar collectors installed in the units of NMMC will reach 4,993, and this, in turn, will make it possible to cover the needs of enterprises in hot water by solar energy by 100% and save 13.7 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year.

The large-scale work carried out on the use of renewable energy sources in the activities of NMMC is a confirmation of the importance of improving energy efficiency at the company.
