JSC NMMC was awarded a high indicator in the Openness Index 2022

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on March 29th, the agency announced the results of the Openness Index 2022, aimed at assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the work done on openness in government agencies and organizations.

As noted in the news, the calculation was carried out based on 8 indicators, consisting of 84 evaluation criteria. The performance indicators of the points scored were divided into categories – organizations scoring from 71 to 100 points join the “green” category, organizations scoring from 55 to 71 points join the “yellow” category, and those who scored less than 55 points include in the “red” category. The Openness Index 2022 assessed 86 ministries, departments and institutions, including 21 ministries, 14 local government bodies, 32 organizations with state participation, 19 committees and agencies.

JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, having scored 76.2 points, showed one of the highest performance indicators and took 5th place in the Openness Index 2022.

In the context of joint-stock companies of this index, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company took the 1st place among 22 large industrial enterprises and companies.

It should be especially noted that in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 14th, 2022, systematic work is being carried out to ensure openness and transparency, freedom to obtain information about the activities of the company. In particular, open data in 8 areas are posted in a separate section “Open Data” of the official website of JSC NMMC www.ngmk.uz.

The fact that JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company has high performance indicators in the Openness Index 2022 and deserves recognition is a confirmation of the importance of ensuring openness and transparency in the activities of the company.
