The Pistali deposit: 1 million cubic meters of rock mass mined
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company is building Hydrometallurgical plant №6 for processing 4 million tons of gold ore at the Pistali deposit in Nurata district of Navoi region.
On January 6th, 2023, the first blasting operations were carried out at the deposit to open gold ore bodies. The implementation of this project with a total cost of $274.7 million, in addition to increasing the production of precious metals, will create more than two thousand new jobs.
At the moment, a solid material and technical base of the mining complex is being created. In particular, there are 2 modern drilling rigs, 3 excavators, 16 dump trucks, 3 ore loaders and other types of mining equipment.
March 27th was a historic day – in order to open gold ore bodies on the Pistali deposit the volume of mined rock mass amounted to 1 million cubic meters. Currently, about 360 workers, engineering and technical employees are working here. The construction of Hydrometallurgical plant №6, a unit for the repair of mining equipment, a car garage, a working camp and other facilities of the complex are being built at an accelerated pace.
The launch of Hydrometallurgical plant №6 for the processing of 4 million tons of gold ore per year will serve to develop the economy of Uzbekistan.
