A meeting was held with the Secretary General of the Asian Swimming Federation

Representatives of Uzbekistan in swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming and diving adequately defend the honor of country at many international tournaments, the Asian Games and continental championships.

At the General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council, Tashkent won the right to host the 2025 Asian Games. For the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" in Tashkent, the construction of the Olympic Village and a modern water sports center on 160 hectares is underway. In addition, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, which is a sponsor of water sports, is investing in the development of the sphere.

On February 17, 2023, there was held a meeting between the Chairman of the Board - General Director of JSC NMMC, Chairman of the Swimming Federation of Uzbekistan Kuvandik Sanakulov and Secretary General of the Asian Swimming Federation Taha Sulaimon al-Kishri in Navoi city.  

At the meeting, it was decided to make consistent efforts in the near future for the further development of water sports in Uzbekistan, their popularization, and strengthening of the material and technical base.
