✅ NASA published satellite image of Muruntau gold mine.
✅ On August 5, on the eve of the Day of railway transport workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, there was put into operation a 35-kilometer railway line connecting the Tamdybulak deposit with Hydrometallurgical plant-2 on the territory of Tamdy district.
✅ On the eve of the 31st anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first time in the history of the mining industry of the country, the depth of the mine with a diameter of 6.5 meters reached 1 000 meters. This mine is located on the industrial site “Zarmitan” in Zarkent village of Kushrabat district of Samarkand region. The construction of the mine is carried out in cooperation with the Czech company Mine Construction Alliance s.r.o.
Currently, work is underway on the next phase of the project. The project is scheduled to be fully completed in 2023. In the future, this will allow annually delivering 850 thousand tons of gold-bearing ore to the surface, which will be delivered to Hydrometallurgical plant №4 for processing.
✅ In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2022, director of Central mining administration of JSC NMMC Elmurad Khalikulov was awarded the order “Mehnat Shuhrati”, deputy chief geologist of JSC NMMC Ilhomjon Khamroev – with the order “Do‘stlik”, leading engineer of mining department of Southern mining administration of JSC NMMC Akmal Jamonkulov – with the medal “Shuhrat”.
