Digital technologies are a development factor

In order to develop the digital economy and the widespread introduction of modern information and communication technologies in all sectors and spheres, “Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy” is being consistently implemented in our country. In particular, in the mining industry, the introduced technologies are regularly improved and their competitiveness in the processes of global integration is ensured.

In the Joint-Stock Company Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, when implementing investment projects, the entire process has been completely digitized, from geological exploration to obtaining finished products. The effect of such practical results is one of the main factors in increasing the volume of production at the enterprise. On October 13, a delegation led by the minister for the development of information technologies and communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov visited NMMC to get acquainted with projects related to the introduction of digital technologies.

At the beginning there was held a presentation with the participation of delegation members on the digitalization of production at NMMC at the Office. In the presentation, the responsible managers and specialists of the company spoke in detail about the work carried out in this direction.

The company’s specialists have developed more than 20 information systems that perform about 200 production and management tasks. Basically, these are such areas as the management of transport, production, finance, personnel, logistics, energy management of the enterprise, management of scheduled repairs, accounting.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Daugyztau mine of Northern mining administration, Hydrometallurgical plants №2, 5, Road transport department, the Muruntau mine of Central mining administration, where they got acquainted with the use of digital technologies and production automation systems.

The introduction of modern IT into production, ensuring the continuity and stability of automation processes brings an economic effect. Most importantly, such significant results are achieved thanks to the knowledge and work of local staff.
