Work carried out in Central mining administration

The newspaper “Konchilar Hayoti” (№16 dated August 30, 2022) published an article of director of Central mining administration of JSC NMMC Elmurad Khalikulov, who, in accordance with the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2022, was awarded the Order “Mehnat Shuhrati” in connection with the 31st th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We present this article to your attention.

To date, the practical work carried out in all spheres and sectors in Uzbekistan is becoming increasingly important, since it is aimed at improving the dignity of a person.

In large-scale works and projects, carried out in Joint-Stock Company Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, Central mining administration takes a leading place. Work on the implementation of new projects, expansion of production capacities, modernization of enterprises does not stop for any time.

A special place is occupied by the investment project of the first stage of the development of the Muruntau mine (stage V). Currently, work on the implementation of this important investment project is being carried out at an accelerated pace. In April 2022, drilling and blasting and mining operations began at the Balpantau quarry as part of the Muruntau mine. Over the past period, 33.4 thousand tons of ore were mined from the open pit.

Hydrometallurgical plant №2 is one of the largest gold production complexes in the world. At this enterprise, technological processes are carried out from grinding ore containing precious metals to obtaining finished products in the form of high-quality cast gold.

In particular, as part of the project to expand the processing capacity of Hydrometallurgical plant №2, building “B” was built and put into operation. More importantly, thanks to an automated system based on the latest hardware and software, the plant’s specialists were able to freely use the web page, which contains information on the main technological parameters, ore, water, electricity, fuel consumption.

As part of the investment project, there was launched a high-tech complex for the production of measured gold and silver bars on the basis of the finished product unit of HMP-2. The complex has modern technological equipment of Italian production.

In subsequent years, equipment for the processing of oxidized ores was installed at Hydrometallurgical plant №5, work was carried out to regulate the technological process. At the second stage of this plant, mills were put into operation and 5 million tons of ore are processed per year. Work is also underway to improve the oxidation process with the help of oxygen in the processing of sulfide ore. Since the launch of the plant, 1 170 new work places have been created.

At Hydrometallurgical plant №7, which is the world’s largest industrial waste processing enterprise, this year, in addition to the technological chain devices provided for by the project documentation, two additional grinding mills were installed. As a result, the plant’s capacity for processing industrial waste increased to 15.8 million tons per year. As a result of the work carried out to improve technological processes, the separation of gold from ore increased by 120.6% compared to the indicator provided for in the project documentation.

Currently, mining and underground exploration work is being carried out in the Muruntau mine at a depth of 700 meters. Every year the technical base of the Auminzo-Amantoy mine is being strengthened. The mine uses excavators and drilling rigs from world famous companies in Germany, Sweden and Japan.

It is known that the “Gold heap leaching unit” mine is one of the major units of Central mining administration, and the enterprise processes gold-bearing ore, i.e. from grinding to obtaining a gold-silver alloy “Dore”. Since 2007, the enterprise has been continuously working to modernize equipment, introduce new ideas and developments into the production process. The innovations and technological changes made in the last decade are showing their results.
